- Take a pressure cooker and put rice, bajra, moong dal, masoor dal, chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped vegetables (carrot, beans, peas), salt acc to taste and haldi powder.
- Add 1 glass of water.
- Now pressure cook it for 2-3 whistles.
- In the meanwhile, we make masala paste.
- Take a pan and start roasting peppercorns, cinnamon stick, dry red chillies, cumin seeds and in the end Shredded Coconut.
- Stir it continously for 2-3 mins. - Now off the flame.
- When it cools down then put in the mixing jar to make a fine paste by adding little water and tamarind pulp. - The paste should be smooth.
- Now take a kadhai by adding ghee in it.
- Add mustard seeds and curry leaves,
- Now add masala paste and 1 or 2 cups of water.
- Mix it and see the consistency of water.
- Now add cooked rice dal mixture in it.
- Mix it well so that it is combined to each other properly.
- If it is thick then add more water.
- Now cover it with the lid for few mins.
- Serve it with chutney, papad or yogurt.
